Teen Girl Dies in Horror Dorset BMW Crash
Tragedy struck East Dorset on Saturday night when an 18-year-old girl died in a serious crash involving a blue BMW 1 Series. The smash happened just after 9.30pm on September 16, on Hurn Road between 1 and Matchams.
Three Arrested After Devastating Collision
Emergency crews rushed to the scene after reports that the BMW had left the carriageway, suffering heavy damage. Sadly, the female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family has been informed.
Three other teens, two men and one woman, all aged 18, were hurt and taken to hospital—one seriously, two with minor injuries. All three were later arrested on suspicion of driving offences linked to the crash.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Sergeant Mile Gatfield from the traffic unit offered heartfelt condolences: “Our thoughts are with the family of the young woman who sadly died, and officers are supporting her family.”
He urged anyone who saw the crash or the car’s driving beforehand to come forward. Dashcam footage could prove vital in piecing together what happened.
