Teen Jailed for Lewis Butler’s Fatal Stabbing in Bletchley

After a thorough probe by Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit, 18-year-old Abubakar Sakho from Pinewood Drive, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, has been slammed with seven years behind bars for the manslaughter of Lewis Butler last year. The sentencing happened at Luton Crown Court on October 2.

Guilty Pleas and Grim Details

Sakho faced charges for manslaughter, possession of a blade, and dealing Class A drugs. He admitted to the drug offences back in February and later pled guilty to manslaughter in December.

The horror unfolded just before 11pm on January 17 when police rushed to Buttermere Close after a stabbing. Lewis Butler, 44, was found with serious wounds. Despite emergency care at the scene and quick hospital treatment at Milton Keynes General, he sadly died from his injuries.

Sakho was arrested the next day and charged on January 21.

More Violence Behind Bars Lands Sakho 10 More Years

While on remand, Sakho didn’t stay quiet. He was convicted on July 20 for a brutal assault at Feltham Prison, securing a 10-year sentence to run after his manslaughter term — five years locked up plus five years on licence.

Police Crackdown on Knife Crime

“This tragic case appears to have been caused by a row over a drug deal. The defendant went armed with a knife which he had no right to carry,” said Detective Inspector Nick Hind.

“Operation Deter is our new no-nonsense stance on knife crime. Carry a weapon and you will be stopped, arrested, charged and prosecuted.”

DI Hind also honoured Lewis Butler’s family for their support through the ordeal. Though the sentence can’t undo the loss, it sends a stark warning about the dangers of knives. The police urge anyone with info on knife crime to report it anonymously to Crimestoppers.
