Man Admits Murder of Aberdeen Woman in Shocking Home Attack

A 44-year-old man has pleaded guilty to the brutal murder of 54-year-old Jacqueline Kerr. The tragic killing happened on January 16, 2023, when Jacqueline was found with severe injuries at her home on Sunnyside Road, Aberdeen. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Swift Arrest and Guilty Plea

Christopher Cook was arrested the same day in connection with Jacqueline’s death. Today, at Aberdeen High Court, he admitted to the murder. Sentencing will follow at a later date.

Family Mourns ‘Light of Our Lives’

Jacqueline’s family, devastated by the loss, described her as the “light of our lives.” They thanked Police Scotland for their efforts during the investigation and asked for privacy to grieve and heal.

Police: Brutal Attack in Her Own Home

Detective Inspector James Callander said: “Jacqueline Kerr was subjected to a brutal attack in her own home by Christopher Cook. He has now admitted responsibility for his violent behaviour, which resulted in the death of Jacqueline. While it cannot change what happened, I hope this outcome in court leads to some closure for Jacqueline’s family.”
