1. Exit the A249 at Ridham Dock and join the northbound Sheppey Way towards Sheerness.
2. Continue on the Sheppey Way until you reach the roundabout junction with the B2231.
3. At this roundabout, exit onto the southbound Lower Road towards the roundabout with the A249.
4. At the roundabout, continue your onward journey on the A249.

Southbound Traffic: For southbound traffic, follow the hollow triangle symbol on road signs. Here are the steps for the diversion route:

1. Exit the A249 at Cowstead Corner and take the first exit at the roundabout.
2. At the next roundabout, take the third exit onto Sheppey Way southbound.
3. Continue south on this road, passing over Kingsferry Bridge.
4. At the next roundabout, take the first exit and re-join the A249 southbound.
