At around 10.40pm on Friday 27 October 2023, officers attended an address in Valley Road, Rusthall in connection with a reported assault nearby. It is alleged constables were refused entry into the property and were warned by a man seen holding a knife they would be stabbed.

They were reportedly also spat at from an upstairs window and objects were thrown in their direction. It is further alleged three other people in the property were assaulted.
