Harrogate drug dealer jailed for three-and-a-half years

Harrogate drug dealer, Scott Bradley, 36, of no fixed address but previously of Hargrove Road, has been jailed for three years and six months.

He previously pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, including cocaine and heroin, one count of possessing cannabis with intent to supply, one count of possessing criminal cash and two counts of possessing class A drugs.

He was sentenced on 20 December 2023 at York Crown Court.

On 2 January 2022, officers from North Yorkshire Police’s Operation Expedite team suspected Bradley was dealing drugs when they found a group of people huddled around him on Bower Street, Harrogate.

On seeing the officers, he tried to secret the drugs in a bush nearby however, police recovered a bag containing several wraps of what they believed to be class A drugs. They were forensically tested and confirmed to be cocaine and heroin. After a search, officers also seized £180 and a set of scales. He was arrested and taken into police custody.

In October 2023, searching for a property in Harrogate Bradley in possession of cocaine, heroin, and cannabis. He was arrested again and remanded into custody.

Through mobile phone analysis, investigators were able to show that he was heavily involved in the supply of cocaine and heroin for a long period and had a significant customer base. 

 PC Ellie Cooke or the Operation Expedite team, said: “Bradley is a prolific drug dealer with the sole objective of selling drugs and causing misery on the streets of Harrogate, purely for his personal gain.

“I am pleased to see him sentenced and hope it sends a clear message that drugs will not be tolerated on our streets.”
