Dorset Police are seeking witnesses and dashcam footage following a car collision in Poole that left a 17-year-old girl with “very serious” injuries. The incident occurred on Boxing Day at 1:01 am in Banks Road and involved a black Mercedes and a grey BMW.
The 17-year-old victim, who was a passenger in the Mercedes, was transported to the hospital along with the car’s driver, who was taken as a precautionary measure. Banks Road had to be temporarily closed as officers investigated the scene.
Inspector Craig Tatton, from the Roads Policing Team, appealed to potential witnesses, saying, “I am appealing for any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police to please come forward. Also, I would urge anyone who has dashcam fitted to their vehicle and was in the vicinity at the time to check whether they have captured anything of relevance that might assist our inquiries.”
Tatton acknowledged the inconveniences caused by the road closure and expressed gratitude to the public for their patience. He stressed the necessity of the closure to ensure a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact Dorset Police through their website at www.dorset.police.uk, email [email protected], or call 101. When contacting the police, please reference occurrence number 55230201391.
