Christmas Babies Steal the Show at Queen’s Hospital

Katie Bowers was gearing up to welcome her baby on New Year’s Day. But her little miracle had other plans — arriving early on Christmas Day!

Baby Sienna was born at Queen’s Hospital in Romford around 9pm, almost a week ahead of schedule. Proud mum Katie, 33, and partner Stefan Wyatt said she’s “a very special gift who will be hard to top.”

“We were meant to spend Christmas with family but didn’t even have time to say Merry Christmas. My waters broke at 8.30am and we had to rush straight to the hospital,” Katie revealed.

“Now everyone can’t wait to meet Sienna, so we’ll be seeing the family over the next few days.”

The couple returned home to Harold Wood with their Christmas presents still wrapped under the tree — a festive arrival in every sense.

Another Christmas Day Arrival – But Fashionably Late

Not far away, baby Haidar made a grand entrance too — a week late and also born on Christmas Day. His dad Salman, 37, shared their anxious wait.

“We were getting worried when there was no sign of him. We even saw the midwife and my wife Aiman did a bit of house sweeping, which is supposed to help bring on labour,” Salman said.

“But it’s very special that he was born on Christmas Day.”

Salman’s mother flew in for the birth and looked after their 22-month-old daughter Mirha at their Romford home. The family enjoyed a delayed Christmas dinner with friends on Boxing Day.

Christmas Day Boom: 16 Babies Born at Queen’s Hospital

Sienna and Haidar were just two of 16 babies born at Queen’s Hospital on Christmas Day. The first baby arrived just 56 minutes after midnight — right after Santa had finished his rounds!

It seems Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year for welcoming new life.
