At 5.41 pm on January 2, 2024, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) responded to a bedroom fire in a residential property on Davigdor Road in Hove.
The fire, which broke out in a second-floor bedroom, was effectively extinguished by the attending crews using breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet. ESFRS confirmed that the fire is now out and the operation is being scaled down.
Importantly, all occupants of the property have been accounted for. There were no reports of injuries, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
