National Crime Agency Appeals for Public Assistance in Locating Wanted Man in Drugs Investigation

In a bid to further their ongoing drugs investigation, the National Crime Agency (NCA) has launched an appeal seeking assistance in tracing David McAlpine, a 31-year-old individual from Liverpool. McAlpine is wanted in connection with the distribution of class A and B drugs throughout the United Kingdom.

With links to Liverpool, nearby St Helens, North Wales, and the Wick and Thurso areas of north Scotland, McAlpine presents a challenging target for law enforcement. Standing at 6 feet tall, he has a broad build, hazel eyes, and is identifiable by a scar on his forehead. McAlpine’s appearance may vary, as he has previously had shoulder-length ginger hair but has also been seen with a shaved head.

The last known address for McAlpine was a barge moored on a canal in Maghull, Sefton, Merseyside. The NCA’s investigation is part of Operation Venetic, a comprehensive response to the takedown of the encrypted communications platform EncroChat.

Mick Pope, NCA branch commander, emphasised the urgency of the situation, stating, “McAlpine will know he is wanted by the NCA and must be under significant stress. If he is reading this, I urge him to make contact with us.” However, members of the public are strongly advised not to approach McAlpine.

Individuals with any information regarding David McAlpine’s whereabouts are encouraged to contact the National Crime Agency immediately at 0370 496 7622. Alternatively, they can provide anonymous tips by calling Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
