Two Arrested on Suspicion of Attempted Murder Following Stabbing of 16-Year-Old Boy in Colchester

Two individuals have been apprehended by Essex Police on suspicion of attempted murder after a 16-year-old boy was subjected to a stabbing incident. The incident unfolded at the junction of Queen Street and Priory Street in Colchester at approximately 6:30 pm on Tuesday.

Law enforcement swiftly responded to the scene, and the injured teenager was transported to a medical facility due to stab wounds. Thankfully, his condition is no longer considered life-threatening.

Two male suspects, aged 19 and 21, were detained in Colchester on Thursday under suspicion of attempted murder. A 20-year-old man was initially taken into custody on similar charges but has since been released and will not face further legal action.

Detective Chief Inspector Greg Wood, representing the Kent and Essex serious crime directorate, commended the ongoing investigation’s rapid progress, with officers and staff from various units working diligently on the case.
