Appeal for Identity: Stratford Rape Suspect in Black Tracksuit

The Metropolitan Police in Stratford are reaching out to the public for assistance in identifying a man connected to a reported rape incident. The investigation was initiated after a woman in her 20s contacted officers, informing them that she had been assaulted in an alleyway in Medals Way at approximately 6.50pm on Thursday, January 25.

The victim is currently receiving support from specially trained officers, while detectives, led by Detective Constable Ben Dailey, are actively pursuing leads. The suspect is described as tall, slim, and in his 20s, wearing a black tracksuit and beige cap at the time of the incident.

To expedite the identification process, investigators have released two images of the man captured from CCTV footage in the surrounding area. Detective Constable Dailey urges anyone who identifies the individual to come forward immediately.
