Two Men Jailed After Horror Crash Leaves Teens Seriously Injured
A shocking crash on Frederick Road, Hastings, has ended with two men behind bars after deliberately causing a collision that seriously injured two teenage boys.
Deliberate Collision and Shocking Assault
Liam Hide, 22, and Dillon Beeching, 23, have been sentenced for their roles in the reckless crash. Beeching intentionally drove his BMW straight into the path of the teens’ stolen motorbike, sparking a brutal head-on collision.
The court heard how, after the crash, both men cruelly assaulted the injured teenagers before bystanders stepped in and police were called to the scene.
Background: Revenge Over Stolen Bike
Earlier, Hide reported his motorcycle stolen and threatened violence if it wasn’t returned by midday. In a coordinated effort, he teamed up with Beeching, an unemployed Eastbourne resident, to track down the stolen bike.
Beeching’s dangerous driving was no accident—it was a deliberate act that ended in disaster for the teens.
Justice Served: Jail Time and Bans
At Chichester Crown Court on January 19, Hide was sentenced to six years in prison after a trial. Beeching, who pleaded guilty, was handed five and a half years plus a driving ban for over four years.
The boys’ families slammed the pair. One mother said, “You took the law into your own hands, and what you did was unforgivable. Now both you and our families have to suffer because of your reckless and evil behaviour.”
