Teen Thieves Raid Family Home in Uckfield, Steal Priceless Heirlooms
A local family in Uckfield was left devastated after burglars smashed in around 8:30 pm on Saturday, 3rd February 2024. The intruders made off with a haul of valuables, including deeply sentimental items.
Sentimental Treasures Stolen
Police say the suspects, believed to be 16-17-year-old teens, struck swiftly, making off with electronics and treasured family keepsakes. Stolen goods included a Longines watch—an irreplaceable heirloom from the homeowner’s late father—and his cufflinks. Also taken were Jakki’s Pandora gifts and watch, laptops, cash, a smartwatch, and designer sunglasses.
Distinctive Jacket Could Crack Case
Adding a crucial lead, the burglars fled wearing a bright green Gant puffer jacket. The family hopes spotting this standout jacket might help track down the culprits. Authorities also suspect this break-in could be linked to a burglary in Hailsham earlier that same evening.
