New CCTV Images of Clapham Attack Suspect Abdul Ezedi Released by Met Police

Police have issued a warning that the injuries sustained by the suspect in the Clapham chemical attack could prove fatal if left untreated. The update comes as authorities disclosed that the individual was last spotted crossing Vauxhall Bridge at 11 pm, followed by a sighting of him walking along the river on the night of the incident.

The victim, a 33-year-old woman, remains sedated in the hospital and is currently unable to communicate due to the severity of her injuries, which police have described as “significant.” The attack, which occurred a week ago on Wednesday, is being treated as attempted murder by authorities.

Abdul Shokoor Ezedi, the primary suspect in the case, remains at large. A reward of £20,000 is being offered for any information leading to his arrest. Despite sustaining injuries in the attack, Ezedi has not sought medical treatment, and hospitals remain on high alert.

The assault, which involved a corrosive alkaline substance, left twelve people injured, including a 31-year-old mother and her two daughters aged three and eight. The mother’s injuries are believed to be life-changing.

Police suspect that Ezedi may be receiving assistance from others to evade capture. A 22-year-old man was arrested on Monday on suspicion of aiding an offender and was later released on bail as the investigation continues.

The Metropolitan Police, assisted by the British Transport Police and officers from Northumbria Police, have launched an extensive manhunt for Ezedi, dedicating a team of over 100 officers to the investigation.

Authorities have reiterated their warning that Ezedi should not be approached as he could potentially be dangerous. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact the Met’s 24/7 hotline on 020 7175 2784, or in case of an immediate sighting, dial 999.

The search for Ezedi continues as police intensify efforts to ensure the safety and security of the community.
