Kent Police’s Rural Task Force has pulled off a cracking recovery after tracking down a caravan stolen from a Cheshire farmyard — over 200 miles away in Dartford. The breakthrough came with a little help from high-tech drone surveillance.

The caravan went missing on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Acting on a tip-off, officers deployed a drone on February 10 to sweep potential hideouts in Kent. The aerial patrol paid off, spotting the stolen caravan parked on Darenth Wood Road, Dartford.

Two Arrested at the Scene

Police swooped immediately, finding a 23-year-old man and 22-year-old woman inside. Both were arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and theft. They have since been released on bail until May 8 while investigations ramp up.
