CCTV Released After Shocking Sexual Assault in Ashford

Detectives have launched a manhunt after a sexual assault took place on a footpath in Ashford’s Victoria Park. The attack happened late on Saturday, 15 June 2019, between 10.30pm and 11.45pm.

Victim Targeted on Quiet Footpath

The victim, a woman in her 30s, was walking along the path from Jemmett Road towards Ford Way when a man on a bicycle approached her. The suspect reportedly dropped the bike before carrying out the assault.

Despite the terrifying ordeal, the woman managed to escape but was followed to a nearby block of flats. Luckily, local residents stepped in and scared off the attacker. Police arrived quickly and searched the area but failed to find the suspect.
