Drugs Bust in Cliftonville: Man Arrested with Class A Wraps
Police swooped on Tuesday afternoon, 26 March 2024, stopping a car in Northdown Road, Cliftonville. Inside, officers found eight wraps of suspected Class A drugs, two mobile phones, and a stash of cash.
Margate Property Raided in Drug Probe
A man was arrested at the scene. Following the arrest, officers searched a property in Margate under the Misuse of Drugs Act. The raid uncovered a large haul of Class A and Class B drugs, plus a knuckleduster, weighing scales, and other suspected drug-dealing paraphernalia.
Richard Carby Faces Multiple Charges
Richard Carby, 62, from Dane Road, was charged on 27 March with possession of cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply, possession of a weapon, driving without insurance, and driving not according to licence conditions.
He appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court the same day and was remanded in custody. Carby is set to face Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 29 April.
