Stalker caught sneaking near victim’s home despite ban

Brendan Robb defies court order in Swanley

Brendan Robb was banned from entering Swanley following past domestic abuse convictions. Yet, he was spotted on camera lurking near his victim’s home, flouting a strict stalking protection order.

Stealth fail: Mask and cap don’t hide distinctive walk

In April 2022, Robb was slapped with a stalking protection order that barred him from setting foot in Swanley. On 20 April 2023, the victim drove past with children when she spotted Robb on Northview. Despite sporting a baseball cap, hooded top, and camo face mask, Robb’s signature limp—linked to an old leg injury—gave him away.

A quick photo snapped on a phone caught him red-handed. After ducking behind a car and fleeing, he was seen pulling down his mask, revealing his face to another witness.

Swift justice: Robb jailed for over two years

The very next day, cops arrested Robb at 123 Grove, Eltham, London. At Maidstone Crown Court, he pled guilty and on 25 April 2024 was handed a hefty two years and three months behind bars.

Police vow to protect stalking victims

Detective Constable Paul Wells, West Kent Vulnerability Investigation Team, said: “Robb subjected his victim to relentless physical and psychological abuse. Ignoring the stalking order caused further fear and anxiety. Stalking devastates victims and can be terrifying, but this case shows we’re committed to protecting victims and swiftly bringing offenders to justice.”

He added: “There’s plenty of support available for anyone suffering abuse. No one should suffer in silence. If you have concerns, report them to us. We work with various organisations to help victims feel safe again.”
