Sheffield Streets Erupt in Violent Mayhem
Police are hunting witnesses after a massive brawl broke out on Woodbourn Road, Sheffield, on Saturday afternoon. At around 2:25pm, chaos exploded with footage surfacing of a man battered on the ground amid a large crowd.
22 Injured in Rampage, No Fatalities
According to police, 22 people were hurt during the rampage. Thankfully, none of the injuries are life-threatening. All victims remain stable in local hospitals as officers continue their investigation.
Police Launch Witness Appeal and Boost Presence
Chief Superintendent Simon Wanless urged locals to step up: “Our officers have been working through the night reviewing CCTV and gathering evidence. We need anyone with information or footage to come forward.”
Increased police patrols are now visible around Woodbourn Road and will continue in coming days. Officers are on hand to address public concerns and help keep the peace.
Arrests Made, Investigation Ongoing
So far, 25 arrests have been made related to violent disorder offences following the incident. Ten injured parties sustained serious but stable injuries. A police cordon remains on Woodbourn Road between Worthing Road and Parkway Avenue. Commuters are advised to find alternative routes.
