Three Charged in Canterbury Drug Dealing Investigation

Kent Police was called shortly after 1.30pm on Sunday 2 June 2024 following a report that a man had touched a girl on the leg and made inappropriate comments in the Road of Remembrance.

Officers attended and a suspect was quickly identified and arrested the same afternoon.

Isaac Hammond, of Marine Terrace, Folkestone, has since been charged with sexual touching in relation to the incident.

The 79-year-old has also been charged with two further counts of sexual touching relating to similar incidents on a bus in Folkestone on Saturday 1 June.

He is also charged with sexually assaulting a girl near Harbour Street on Thursday 21 March.

Mr Hammond appeared before Margate Magistrates’ Court on Monday 3 June and was remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 1 July.
