TSSA Staff Strike Hits Rail Union, Disruption Set to Grow

Members of the Transport and Salaried Staff Association (TSSA) have launched a fresh wave of strike action this week. The industrial dispute is escalating by one extra day of strikes each week until June 25 — totaling a massive 15 days on the picket line.

Workers Demand Action on Bullying and Mismanagement

The TSSA staff are furious over serious issues including workplace bullying, harassment, financial mismanagement, and blatant breaches of union policies designed to create a positive work environment. They want union bosses to listen and act — now.

Union Official Blasts Leadership Over Strike Fallout

Andrew Harden, GMB London Region Organiser, slammed the TSSA leadership’s silence during recent ACAS talks. “Our staff have taken unprecedented strike action because it’s the only way to force our trade union employer to take their concerns seriously,” Harden said.

He warned the strikes will hit TSSA’s ability to support members hard and urged union members to ask why their own staff have to resort to such drastic measures. “Union leaders must uphold the true values of the labour movement.”

Talks Not Off – Staff Open to Dialogue

Despite the bitter standoff, TSSA GMB staff representatives say they remain willing to negotiate further. But for now, the strikes show no sign of slowing down, with rail and transport workers set to face weeks of disruption ahead.
