Manhunt Underway for Escaped Prisoner Steven Wardle
Authorities are on the hunt for Steven Wardle, 46, who made a daring escape from lawful custody. Wardle was appearing before Wolverhampton magistrates on June 6, charged with drug offences and domestic abuse.
Escape During Hospital Transfer
After his court appearance, Wardle was remanded in custody but taken to New Cross Hospital due to a medical issue. It was there, just before 5pm, that he slipped away from private security staff, vanishing without a trace.
Public Alert: Don’t Approach, Call 999
The police say Wardle may be dangerous and warn the public not to approach him. Instead, anyone with information about his whereabouts should call 999 immediately, quoting reference 20/480322/24.
“We don’t believe there is a risk to the wider public, but urge caution. Please report any sightings right away.”
