Four Arrested Over Fatal Stabbing Outside Ropewalk Shopping Centre
Police have made major headway in the murder investigation of 25-year-old Tom Ellis, who was fatally stabbed outside the Ropewalk shopping centre on Queen’s Road. The shocking attack happened just before 9:30pm on Saturday, June 8.
Two More Teen Suspects Nabbed Overnight
Authorities arrested two more suspects, aged 16 and 15, overnight on suspicion of murder. Earlier, two boys aged 14 and 15 were also taken into custody. All four suspects are from Nuneaton and remain behind bars as the probe intensifies.
“We have identified four suspects within 72 hours and brought them into custody,” said Chief Inspector Kris Shore, North Warwickshire policing boss. “Several cordons are in place in Nuneaton as police searches continue.”
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
Officers are calling on anyone near Queen’s Road between 9:15pm and 9:30pm on June 8 to come forward with information. CCTV or dashcam footage could prove crucial as the hunt for answers continues.
“We continue to support Tom’s family and keep them updated with the latest developments,” added Chief Inspector Shore. “If you can help us identify additional witnesses, please contact us as soon as possible.”
