A 16-year-old boy from Nuneaton has been charged with murder following the death of 25-year-old Tom Ellis. The incident occurred on Queens Road in Nuneaton on June 8, just before 21:30. Tom Ellis suffered a fatal stab wound and passed away shortly afterwards

Warwickshire Police swiftly responded to the incident, utilising CCTV footage and conducting thorough investigations. As a result, four boys allegedly present during the stabbing were identified and arrested on suspicion of murder. Within 72 hours of the initial report, the boy believed to be responsible for the fatal wound was singled out.

Of the four arrests, one 15-year-old boy has been released without further action, while the other two—14-year-olds—have been released on bail. Additionally, on June 11, another 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Detective Inspector Gareth Unett expressed condolences to Tom Ellis’s family and friends during this difficult time. He also commended the dedication of officers and police staff who worked tirelessly to bring about the suspect’s charge. Unett urged anyone with information related to the case to come forward.
