Second Fatality in Horror A2 Crash Near Cobham
Tragedy struck the A2 in Cobham after a serious collision involving a white Mercedes Sprinter van and a lorry. The crash, which happened on the coastbound carriageway, has now claimed a second life.
Crash Details and Immediate Aftermath
Kent Police responded to the scene at 4:14 PM on Friday, May 31. Two lorries had been parked on the hard shoulder when the Mercedes Sprinter ploughed into one of them. The cause of the smash remains unknown. The lorry driver suffered minor injuries.
Two Men Dead, Family Devastated
- The van driver, a 50-year-old man, died instantly at the scene.
- His passenger, aged 20, was airlifted to a London hospital but sadly died from severe injuries on Tuesday, June 4.
Next of kin for both victims have been informed and are being supported through this heartbreaking time.
