A man has been taken to hospital following a fight that broke out at a shop in Grove Park. The incident occurred just after 9:30 PM yesterday, June 17, on Baring Road near Coppers Lane.
Police officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended the scene and found a man injured. He was taken to a south London hospital where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.
Reports indicate that another man involved in the fight was subsequently involved in a car crash while fleeing the scene. No arrests have been made as police continue their enquiries into the circumstances of the incident.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police provided the following statement: “Police were called at 21:34hrs on Monday, 17 June to reports of a fight between two men at a shop in Baring Road, SE12. As one of the men ran away, he was involved in a collision with a car. Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and a crime scene was put in place. The man was taken to a south London hospital where his injuries were deemed not to be life-threatening or life-changing. No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue.”
The police have urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward as investigations are ongoing.
