Massive Fire at Rainham Industrial Estate: 125 Firefighters Respond

Last Thursday, a major fire erupted at an industrial estate in Rainham, prompting a massive response from fire services. Twenty fire engines and around 125 firefighters battled the blaze, which destroyed a warehouse containing multiple industrial units.

A 25-metre cordon was established as a precaution, ensuring the safety of nearby residents and workers. Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Emergency services were alerted to the fire at 13:11, and the situation was brought under control by 17:50. The Brigade’s Control Officers received over 40 calls from concerned members of the public due to the high volume of smoke produced by the fire.

Fire crews from Barking, East Ham, Wennington, Dagenham, and other surrounding stations responded to the scene. They were supported by colleagues from Kent Fire and Rescue Service and Essex County Fire and Rescue Service.

A spokesperson for the fire brigade praised the efforts of all involved, stating, “Well done to everyone involved for their hard work.
