Safety Cordons and No Injuries
Authorities quickly set up a 25-metre safety cordon to protect nearby residents and workers. Thankfully, no injuries were reported as the blaze raged on. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Firefighters Bring Blaze Under Control After Hours
The emergency call came in at 13:11. Fire crews fought the flames until 17:50, finally gaining control. The brigade’s control centre received over 40 calls from concerned locals due to the thick smoke billowing across the area.
Heroes from Across the Region Join the Fight
Teams from Barking, East Ham, Wennington, Dagenham, and neighbouring stations rushed in. They were backed by Kent Fire and Rescue Service and Essex County Fire and Rescue Service crews.
“Well done to everyone involved for their hard work,” a fire brigade spokesperson praised.
Officials continue probing the cause and full damage of the blaze, with investigations still ongoing.
