Woman in Her 50s Dies After Being Hit on Surrey’s A322

A pedestrian in her 50s tragically lost her life after being struck by a car on the A322 Lightwater bypass in Surrey in the early hours of Friday.

Crash Details: Scene and Investigation

The fatal collision happened shortly after 2.30am on the dual carriageway between the M3 and Gordon Boys roundabout. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but despite their efforts, the woman was pronounced dead on site.

Surrey Police have appealed for witnesses. The driver who stopped at the scene is helping with inquiries. Officers want to trace the woman’s movements before the crash and are particularly keen to hear from anyone travelling on the A322 between midnight and 3am.

Appeal for Witnesses and Footage

Police are asking anyone who saw a pedestrian walking on the southbound carriageway or who has dashcam, CCTV, or helmet cam footage to come forward. The road was briefly closed following the incident but has since reopened.
