Rural Crime No Longer Ignored
“Crime in the countryside can sometimes go unreported but, as our recent results show, officers are taking the fight to those who target farms, businesses, and other rural victims,” said Police Sergeant Ross Haybourne. “Where suspected stolen property is seized, we will go the extra mile to reunite it with victims.”
Haybourne also reaffirmed the task force’s focus on equine crime, wildlife offences, and protection of heritage sites, assuring residents and business owners that proactive operations will continue. “Our teams regularly conduct road checks, search warrants, and arrests. We urge anyone with concerns to report via the Kent Police website. You are our eyes and ears.”
Rural Task Force Racking Up Results
A Kent Police spokesperson added: “Since the start of the year, our Rural Task Force has recovered suspected stolen goods worth more than £2 million, leading to the arrest and bail of 20 suspects across the county.”
This crackdown highlights the Rural Task Force’s dedication to tackling crime in the countryside — a crucial lifeline for communities hit hard by theft and illegal activity.
