A woman is fighting for her life after being rescued by a Coastguard helicopter following a serious incident near South Foreland Lighthouse in Kent. The massive rescue operation unfolded on Friday afternoon after reports that the woman had fallen from the cliffs near the lighthouse.

The Coastguard was alerted to the emergency around 3:30 pm, prompting the immediate dispatch of a Coastguard rescue helicopter, along with lifeboat teams from Dover and Coastguard units from Deal and Langdon. Air ambulance doctors, medics, and the South East Coast Ambulance Service’s specialist Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) were also involved in the complex rescue effort.

The woman was airlifted from the scene and is currently receiving urgent medical attention. Authorities have not yet released any further details regarding her condition.
Kent Police have been contacted in connection with the incident, and investigations are ongoing.
