Tragic Fatal Crash on Old Thanet Way Claims Woman and Her Dog
Kent Police were scrambled at 8.30pm on Friday, 6 September 2024, after a crash on the A2990 Old Thanet Way involving a car and a pedestrian walking a dog.
Black Taxi Hits Woman Between Chestfield and Greenhill
The collision happened as a black taxi headed towards Herne Bay, right between the Chestfield and Greenhill roundabouts.
Woman in Her 60s and Dog Die at Scene
Emergency services including Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance arrived quickly, but sadly a woman in her 60s and her dog were pronounced dead at the scene. The woman’s family have been informed.
Police Plead for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Serious collision investigators are digging into what caused the tragedy and urge anyone who witnessed the incident but hasn’t spoken to police yet to get in touch.
