59-Year-Old Man Found Dead in Huddersfield – Murder Probe Underway
West Yorkshire Police have launched a murder investigation after the body of a 59-year-old man was found with serious injuries in Crosland Moor, Huddersfield. Officers were called to a property on Park Road on the evening of Thursday, September 5th.
Homicide Team Steps In After Sudden Death Report
Police were alerted to a sudden death at around 8:19 PM BST. On arrival, they discovered the victim’s body, prompting the involvement of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team. The victim’s identity is yet to be released.
Detective Pleads for Witnesses to Come Forward
“We have extensive enquiries ongoing into this incident and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed or heard any suspicious activity in the Park Road area on Thursday afternoon or early evening,” said Detective Chief Inspector Michael Cox, Senior Investigating Officer.
DCI Cox also reassured locals: “We understand this incident will cause some concern in the community and officers are conducting reassurance patrols in the area.”
