Wiltshire Police Appeal for Witnesses Following Serious Go-Kart Collision in Hawksworth Trading Estate

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 20s sustained serious head injuries in a go-kart collision on the Hawksworth Trading Estate last night (15 September).

The incident occurred shortly before midnight when a petrol-driven go-kart left the road and collided with a bollard on Newcombe Drive. Emergency services were called to the scene, and the driver was taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries.

Newcombe Drive has been closed while the Serious Collision Investigation Team (SCIT) conducts a thorough investigation. The road is expected to reopen around noon today.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to contact the SCIT team on 01225 694597, quoting log number 341 of 15 September. Alternatively, information can be emailed directly to [email protected].
