Four Men Charged with Murder of Missing Man Michael Wheeler

Four men have been charged with the murder of Michael Wheeler, who has been missing for over a month. David Garland, 39, and Jack Rance, 28, both of no fixed address, along with Mark Roberts, 38, of Juniper Close, Yeovil, and Reuben Clare, 18, of Sherborne Road, Yeovil, appeared at Yeovil Magistrates’ Court facing serious charges linked to Wheeler’s disappearance.

Michael Wheeler Went Missing Weeks Ago

Wheeler, 37, was last seen on August 24. His abandoned car was found in Yeovil last week, sparking intense police searches across the area including Ham Hill, Stoke sub Hamdon, and multiple homes in Yeovil and Crewkerne. Despite these efforts, Michael remains missing, having missed regular appointments and failing to contact family or friends.

Ongoing Police Investigation and Further Arrests

Police launched the investigation after welfare concerns were raised on September 16. The four charged men have been remanded in custody and are due in Bristol Crown Court on September 27. A fifth man, initially arrested last week, was re-arrested on Wednesday, while another man detained on Monday has been released on bail. Additionally, a woman suspected of assisting an offender has also been granted bail.

Police Continue to Piece Together the Mystery

The investigation is ongoing as officers work to uncover what happened to Michael Wheeler. Detectives are urging anyone with information to come forward. The charged men remain in custody as the case progresses through the courts.
