Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Wednesbury Collision

A pedestrian is receiving emergency trauma care after being seriously injured in a collision with a car in Wednesbury this morning. The incident occurred at the junction of Old Park Road and Manor House Road at around 6:13 a.m. today, Monday, September 30.

West Midlands Ambulance Service responded swiftly to the call, deploying an ambulance, a paramedic officer, and the MERIT trauma team, which included two BASICS doctors and a paramedic.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service provided further details, stating, “Crews arrived to find a pedestrian, a man, in a serious condition after reportedly being involved in a collision with a car. The team of ambulance staff worked to provide trauma care to the man to stabilise his condition before he was conveyed by ambulance on blue lights to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further emergency treatment.

No further details about the man’s identity or current condition have been released. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area as police work to gather evidence, and the road may experience temporary closures. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact local authorities.
