A man is fighting for his life after being hit by a car in Wednesbury at the crack of dawn. The horror crash happened around 6:13 a.m. today, Monday, September 30, at the busy junction of Old Park Road and Manor House Road.
Ambulance Service Rushes to Scene
West Midlands Ambulance Service sprang into action, sending an ambulance, a paramedic officer, and a specialist MERIT trauma team. The team included two BASICS doctors and a paramedic who immediately started emergency trauma care at the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance spokeswoman said, “Crews arrived to find a pedestrian, a man, in a serious condition after reportedly being involved in a collision with a car. Our team worked hard to stabilise him before rushing him by blue lights to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further treatment.”
