The closure, originally scheduled to end at 5:00 am, has been extended until at least 6:15 am due to unforeseen issues with resurfacing work.
The planned overnight roadworks have resulted in the full closure of the southbound carriageway, leading to significant disruption for early commuters. Drivers are advised to follow a diversion route to continue their journey.
Diversion Route:
- Exit at Junction 11 and take the A422 southbound to brackley/">Brackley.
- At the roundabout with the A43, take the third exit onto the A43, heading south.
- Follow the A43 back to the M40 at Junction 10 and rejoin the motorway southbound.
