Man Charged with Murder After Derbyshire Death
A 37-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of a 62-year-old in Heanor, Derbyshire, earlier this week.
Lee Young Held Over Shaun Harriman’s Death
Lee Young, from Howitt Street, Heanor, was arrested on Monday and formally charged with murdering Shaun Harriman. He appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on October 3, where the case was adjourned. Young remains in custody.
Fatal Incident on September 30
Police were called to a Howitt Street address just before midday on Monday, September 30, after reports a man had been found dead. The victim was confirmed as 62-year-old Shaun Harriman.

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Croome, leading the investigation, said: “I appreciate that incidents such as this are worrying to people living in the area, but I’d like to reassure the public that those involved were known to each other and there is no wider risk.”
