A large fire has erupted at a warehouse on Norwood Road in Southall, London, prompting a significant response from emergency services. The London Fire Brigade has deployed ten fire engines and approximately 70 firefighters to combat the blaze.
As of the latest report, there have been no injuries reported. However, the fire is producing substantial amounts of smoke, leading authorities to issue precautionary advice to local residents.
A London Fire Brigade spokesperson stated, “The fire has been producing a significant amount of smoke in the area. Although the level of smoke has reduced as firefighters work to extinguish the fire, we would continue to ask local residents to keep their windows and doors closed and stay indoors where possible.”
The incident has caused considerable disruption to local traffic. Several road closures are in effect, and drivers are advised to avoid the Norwood Road area due to heavy congestion.

The fire, which was first reported at 06:50, has garnered substantial public attention. The Brigade’s Control Officers have received nearly 40 calls about the incident. In response, they have mobilised crews from Southall, Heston, Hayes, and surrounding fire stations to tackle the blaze.
As firefighters continue their efforts to bring the situation under control, the cause of the fire remains unknown. Investigations are likely to commence once the fire is fully extinguished and the area is deemed safe.
