Three Rescued After Yacht Runs Aground on Goodwin Sands
Early Morning Drama on the Coast
Three people were saved after their 11-metre yacht ran aground on the notorious Goodwin Sands early yesterday. The alarm was raised, and Walmer’s Atlantic 85 RIB lifeboat launched at 6:57 a.m. to the scene.
Swift RNLI Rescue Operation
The lifeboat crew reached the stranded yacht quickly. They safely transferred all three casualties off the vessel and handed them over to the Ramsgate lifeboat for further care. The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) led the lifesaving mission.
RNLI on Guard Along the Coast
This incident highlights the RNLI’s crucial role in rapid maritime rescue. Lifeboat crews stay ever vigilant, ready to respond whenever boats get into trouble along the UK’s coastline.
