Firefighters have been called to The Brown Derby pub on Kennington Park Road in South East London this afternoon after smoke was seen issuing from the building’s basement. The incident was reported just before 1pm. on November 9.
Upon arrival, fire crews found heavy smoke coming from the basement and immediately implemented basement fire procedures to manage the blaze. Multiple engines have been dispatched to the scene as firefighters worked to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to other areas of the pub.
Emergency personnel have cordoned off the area around the pub to ensure public safety, and nearby residents are advised to avoid the vicinity. At this time, there have been no reports of injuries, and it is unclear how the fire started.
