A Thames Valley Police officer has been charged with attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and has been suspended from duty. PC Daniel Hunt, 32, is accused of committing the offence following an incident in Wallingford in December 2023.
PC Hunt, who was stationed at Maidenhead Police Station, was arrested in January 2024 as part of an investigation into the allegation.
He is scheduled to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on November 29, 2024.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police confirmed that the officer has been suspended and that the force is cooperating fully with the ongoing legal process. Due to the nature of the charges, no further details will be provided at this time.
