Police in Ashford have seized a significant quantity of cannabis, cash, and other items as part of ongoing efforts to tackle organised crime in the area.
The operation unfolded on Saturday, 16 November 2024, when beat officers on patrol in the Stanhope area spotted a vehicle previously linked to drug dealing. The vehicle was tracked to a nearby address, leading to the arrest of three men seen exiting the property.
Seizures and Arrests
Searches of the property and the suspects resulted in the recovery of:
- A substantial amount of cannabis is suspected to be linked to drug distribution.
- Large sums of cash.
- Mobile phones are believed to be connected to the drug trade.
- The vehicle, had been associated with illegal activity.
The three men, aged between 24 and 34, were arrested on suspicion of drug offences. They have been released on bail while investigations into the seized items continue.
