Fatal Crash in Battersea: Young Woman Dies
Detectives are hunting witnesses after a deadly smash in Battersea that left 23-year-old Carolina Ramirez Jimenez dead.
Tragic Scene on Silverthorne Road
Emergency crews rushed to Silverthorne Road, SW8, at 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, 1 August, following reports of an injured woman in the street. Officers and the London Ambulance Service found Carolina suffering a serious head injury. She was the pillion passenger on a Yamaha motorbike.
Despite frantic efforts, Carolina was pronounced dead at a south London hospital. Her devastated family has been informed and is receiving specialist support.
Police Launch Major Investigation
No vehicles involved were found at the scene, pushing detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command to open a full probe. They’re hunting anyone who saw the motorbike or a dark-coloured Range Rover in the area.
Officers are begging for dash cam footage or any other info that could crack the case.
Two Men Arrested, Now on Bail
Two men, aged 23 and 34, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and other motoring offences. They have been bailed as police continue their inquiries.
