Bus Roof Ripped Off in Shocking South Norwood Crash

Emergency crews raced to South Norwood late on Saturday, December 14, after a bus’s roof was violently torn off during a collision. The terrifying incident left passengers shaken, with at least one woman injured.

Explosive Impact Startles Witnesses

Eyewitnesses reported a loud explosion-like noise as the bus hit an overhead structure, ripping its roof clean off. Local driver Equinox, who was trailing the bus, described the scene:

“I gave the driver room to come out from the side road, thinking he was going to turn right. I heard what sounded like an explosion and watched the roof being ripped off the bus… Crazy.”

Passengers in Shock as Woman Injured

At least three passengers were aboard, including a woman seated at the front who was hurt in the accident. Thankfully, she is expected to recover. Equinox added:

“There was a woman sitting at the front of the bus and two or more passengers at the back. They all looked shocked, but the woman was injured. She could’ve been killed.”
