Woman Suffers Electric Shock in St James’s Park, Leaving Her with Long-Term Injuries

A woman is taking legal action after she was electrocuted in St James’s Park, an incident that left her in intensive care, caused brain injury, and significantly altered her life.

Anastasija Grigorjeva, 21, was visiting her sister, Snezana Grigorjeva, in London in July when the accident occurred. According to Snezana, her sister’s leg fell through the grate of a ground-level spotlight, where it made contact with a live electrical wire.

The Incident

Snezana, 27, recounted the events, saying the two had been sightseeing before taking shelter in a bandstand in St James’s Park due to heavy rain. The sisters noticed the spotlight illuminating the area and decided to take photographs.
