A man in his 20s was hospitalized after being stabbed on Ilford Lane on New Year’s Day, prompting an ongoing police investigation.
Incident Overview
Police were called at approximately 4:05 p.m. on Wednesday, 1 January, to reports of a stabbing in Ilford Lane. Officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service attended the scene, where they found the victim suffering from stab injuries.
The man was transported to an east London hospital, where his injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening.
Arrest Made in Connection to Incident
At around 7:30 p.m., a 38-year-old man was arrested at a residential address in Romford in connection with the incident. He has been taken into custody at an east London police station, where he remains as inquiries continue.
