Police are appealing for the public’s help in identifying a man they wish to speak to in connection with an alleged sexual assault on a 15-year-old in Thamesmead.
The incident reportedly occurred along Thames Path on June 24, 2024, between 5pm and 6pm. The victim, a teenage boy, has been receiving support from specialist officers as the investigation continues.
As part of their inquiries, officers have released an E-FIT (Electronic Facial Identification Technique) image of a man they believe could assist with the investigation. The image depicts a black male, though no additional description has been provided by the Metropolitan Police at this stage.
Detectives are urging anyone who recognises the individual in the E-FIT or has any information about the incident to come forward.
Those with information are asked to contact police by calling 101 and quoting reference 3837/12Nov24. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
The Metropolitan Police continue to treat the case as a priority and have reiterated their commitment to seeking justice for the victim. They also encourage anyone with concerns or knowledge of similar incidents to report them.
