Missing Sisters Mystery: Eliza and Henrietta Huszti Vanish in Aberdeen

CCTV Reveals Last Sighting at Victoria Bridge

Police have dropped new clues in the hunt for Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, 32-year-old sisters who disappeared in Aberdeen on 7 January 2025. CCTV footage caught the pair on Victoria Bridge the day before they vanished. They spent five minutes on the footpath, then headed through Union Square back to their flat on Charlotte Street – their last known location.

Timeline: Strange Final Movements

  • 6 January, 14:50: Sisters spotted by CCTV at Victoria Bridge, no interaction with others.
  • 7 January, 02:12: Henrietta texts their landlady from near Victoria Bridge, saying they won’t return. Phone then goes dead.
  • Early hours 7 January: Last confirmed sighting as the duo cross Victoria Bridge, heading toward Aberdeen Boat Club.

Intense Search Underway – No Sign Yet

The disappearance has triggered a major search operation focused around the icy River Dee. Police helicopters, divers, and search dogs combed the snowy terrain with no luck so far. Superintendent David Howieson stressed, “No signs of foul play, but we need the public’s help to find them.”

“Extensive inquiries are ongoing. Please think back, did you notice anyone matching their description? We are doing everything we can to trace Eliza and Henrietta’s movements.”

Family Concern and Mysterious Disappearance

The sisters left their belongings behind and hadn’t informed family of any plans to move out. Their brother Jozsef Huszti in Budapest said,

“It’s strange they didn’t tell us they planned to end their tenancy. Even when my mother spoke to them on Saturday, they didn’t mention any such plan.”

Who Are Eliza and Henrietta?

  • Both: Slim build, long brown hair
  • Originally from Hungary, moved to Scotland about 10 years ago
  • Part of a set of triplets, close family bonds
  • Saving to buy a property

Have You Seen Them? Police Appeal

Officers urge anyone with info – especially sightings on 6 or 7 January – to call 101 and quote the reference for Eliza and Henrietta Huszti’s missing persons case.

The investigation is ongoing as police race against time to solve this chilling disappearance.
